Residence Blue Corner

The complex is very basic, and in need of some proper maintenance and upgrading. We ended up booking this really last minute, as our itinerary changed. We paid 29 Euros for one night, late September, and had a one bedroom complex, with shower room, and kitchen with a dodgy sofa bed. Felt very run down and I had to do a quick search for mozzies before closing up for the night. Foam mattress on the bed, lots of spare blankets, with a fan in bedroom, with wierd green side table lamps. Bathroom very basic in need of a deep clean. Kitchen very utilitarian, table and 4 chairs, with a very old sofa bed on the side. It was an experience to stay there, but we would not go back. Yes it was cheap, and we were fine with very basic, but it didn't feel clean and it didn't feel maintained. Easy parking, friendly staff at check in, with very strict rules for rubbish collection. Best bit was the access to a lovely very scenic beach, small but private, with a fabulous view of the islands and windsurfers. On the beach there was also a sailing club for learners which was actively being used, and separate from the swimming area. Great for all ages, particularly teenagers and kids. Nearby, a short walk away, is a good pizza restaurant at the end of the point. Also nearby is a much larger beach which was full of windsurfers. If all you need is a cheap bed, go for it, but bring supplies as there's nothing very much nearby. Internet only available next to reception.

Basic self catering. Car hire a must as the only transfer from Olbia Airport is private and costs circa €170. Disappointed that we were only allowed to check in after 17:00 after arriving at 10:00 and reception was open saying that is the time which was not specified on booking. Bathroom and bedroom/cooking area very hot and only a fan to keep cool which is next to useless. No air con and due to the rooms/ chalets not facing or being shelteed from the wind/fresh air clothes become damp, this also does not allow proper drying of towels and swimwear. Changing of sheets and towels extra cost. Mosquitos were a huge problem as spraying of vegetation was non existent. Small market a car ride or 15 minute walk away and the prices are high.Windsurf Village a bit further on which has wonderful beaches and is a Winsurfers and Kitesurfiers paradise. Closer local beach down the hill offering boat hire and swimming. It appears other than those mentioned no other water based activities. All in all Residence Blue Corner is only worth staying for a day or two. I personally would not stay there again.

Check-in was fine, staff was very friendly, parking space is available. Unfortunately the towels were not very clean and the apartements are not soundproof. But prices are very low - kitchen, bathroom and terrace were clean. Free wifi spot is closed to the reception
