Hotel Costa dei Fiori

We chose this hotel after reading the excellent reviews and for our first visit to Pula. Never was a choice more spot on. The hotel is located arriving from Cagliari and traveling along a small stretch of dirt road. At the reception, you are immediately welcomed into a warm and friendly atmosphere. The room assigned to us on the second floor, spacious, bright with a balcony. The comfort of the bed and the silence that reigns will give you the chance to sleep like never before. The cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is excellent on all fronts; you will not lack anything to start the day in the right way. A positive note to all the guys who welcomed us every morning with a smile and chatted for a bit. It is always a pleasure. There is also the possibility of having dinner with excellent quality dishes. The hotel is surrounded by greenery with three swimming pools, two in the main building and the third in the "sunbeds and umbrellas" area in front of the sea where you can relax and rejuvenate like never before. My husband and I just returned from a week in Sardinia where we spend 3 gorgeous nights at Costa Dei Floria. From the moment we arrived we felt cared for and minded. The welcome we received was warm, friendly and very informative. Our room was fabulous, close to both the restaurant facilities and the infinity pool & beach. The food was excellent and the staff incredibly warm and hospitable; we were on a half board basis and got a different menu every night. Breakfast was lovely, if anything I would have liked more fruit and nuts, however the variety of pastries, breads and cakes was vast. The gardens were beautifully maintained and throughout the hotel cleanliness was exceptional. The infinity pool, overlooking the beach was so stunning and so quiet. Highly recommend for a few days of chill out and recharge.

Alas, I should have listened to those very few reviews that highlighted the glaring defects of this Hotel. Very large property, garden not maintained properly, to be clear when you enter you don't get the wow effect, in some points it is maintained in others including the infinity pool part it is left to oblivion, dirty and unmaintained pool with missing tile parts. Room 301, I must say that the room and cleaning are absolutely high-performing, the room structure is new, the bathroom is new, but a coffee machine and after-sun cream are missing. Let's get to the real sore points: €2.80 to change a beach towel, I've never seen anything like it! It's really cheap. You arrive and you get the first one, for the subsequent ones you have to shell out cash, embarrassing! The towels are even full of holes! BREAKFAST: Guys, it's a cheap breakfast for a "business hotel," nothing more, truly poor without typical or quality products, no fresh-squeezed juices, only 70-cent juices. BREAKFAST HIGHLY REJECTED! DINNER: The success rate of the dishes is one out of two; the successful ones are truly excellent. The scandalous part of dinner is the service..., with the tables full, it takes 2 hours to finish a 3-course dinner! They are slow and disorganization reigns supreme. Regarding the 3 courses of the half-board..., here too, I have never seen anything like it... you are entitled to 3 dishes that can be chosen from appetizer, first course, second course, dessert..., so if you take the first 3, you don't get to eat dessert! This is another cheap move worthy of a soup kitchen for the destitute. How can you do something like this? Go to South Tyrol and learn the trade. For those who don't have half-board..., guys, eat out, because you end up paying a really high price for service and a truly mediocre dish. DRAFT BEER DOES NOT EXIST. You want a beer, you pay 5 euros for a 33cl Ichnusa! A terrifying thing! To conclude, do you want to act like big shots with stars and exorbitant prices? Provide adequate service! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED BY ME!
