Relais Torre Marabino

My husband, my 3-year-old daughter, and I spent an unforgettable vacation at the Relais Torre Marabino at the beginning of September; we stayed here for 6 nights and we would have stayed forever!!! What can I say: "practically perfect in every way"! Upon arrival, you are enchanted by the property (which has the charm of yesteryear but is perfectly and welcomingly restored), by the garden (very well-kept and impeccable), and by the view of the countryside and the sea (the nearby highway does not disturb at all and you cannot even hear it)… Then the pool, surrounded by lavender, palm trees, and centuries-old olive trees… beautiful! The welcome, the kindness, and the smile of the girls who work there are no less: Francesca, Giusy, Antonella (Cecilia still mentions you!), Catia, and the very sweet Conci… Many times the place is beautiful but the staff disappoints, you instead are the added value of this place! Top-notch cleanliness, play area for the kids, and the cuisine of the internal restaurant La Moresca… 10 out of 10! You cannot ask for better, really. If we return to these areas, it will undoubtedly be at Torre Marabino! Thank you for all these beautiful memories!

What a wonderful experience at this historic place, beautifully situated in the countryside. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It was really a pleasure to eat in the restaurant in the evening, and to be greeted with all cheer in the morning before the breakfast buffet full of delicious dishes (sweet and savory). The location is nicely centrally located for visits to other cities (Noto, Modica, Syracuse) and the beach (we were advised to go to Agua Beach in San Lorenzo and that was very well maintained) In short, a top stay, we enjoyed it to the fullest. Small downside: carrying the heavy suitcases upstairs to the beautiful spacious room.

Torre Marabino: when history becomes hospitality There are places that simply welcome you, and places that tell you something from the very first step. Torre Marabino definitely belongs to the second category. The ancient watchtower, once a bulwark against Saracen raids, today opens its thick stone walls to those seeking a stay out of time. Crossing the threshold means entering into a silent dialogue between different eras: the arrow slits that once scanned the sea to intercept pirates today frame breathtaking sunsets, and the wrought-iron stairs leading to the room lofts tell of a rural elegance that no design hotel could replicate. The rooms, each different from the other, combine local stone, authentic Sardinian-Sicilian furnishings, and touches that smell of true history: an antique chest here, the carved side of a Sicilian cart there. Sleeping within these centuries-old walls, wrapped in an almost liturgical silence, is an experience that stays with you. But it is at the table that Torre Marabino reveals its ace in the hole. The estate's restaurant, La Maresca, transforms the products of the surrounding organic farm — olives, vegetables, grapes from the vineyards that surround the tower — into dishes that tell the story of the Ragusa area with creativity and respect for tradition. The wines, produced in the estate's cellar and aged right in the tower's basement, accompany every course with a consistency that only those who produce what they serve can guarantee. The setting does the rest: centuries-old olive groves (one is 400 years old), vineyards as far as the eye can see, a swimming pool discreetly hidden in the greenery, and the possibility of exploring the Baroque jewels of the Val di Noto from here — Modica, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, Syracuse — all within easy reach for an excursion. The verdict: Torre Marabino is not simply a place to sleep. It is an authentic immersion in south-eastern Sicily, where history is not staged but lived, breathed, and even drunk in every glass. An address to keep jealously for those looking for the true soul of the island.
