This is a lice hotel to avoid. The room was very small and smelly. Visibility : a blind wall 0.5 m away. Could touch this one!!! We were dumped here through the Young Intra Vacations. They let us down. So it is best not to engage with this organization. Have booked another hotel on their own initiative.

Pros: the staff here are lovely and the hotel is central. The stunning Villa Comunale gardens are 2 mins away. Breakfast is varied enough, with boiled eggs and several savouries, plus pastries and really good coffee. The breakfast ladies are so nice and they do ask you if you want your room to be cleaned that day, so it’s up to you. The terrace overlooking the majestic Etna is beautiful, shame we haven’t used it that much. Cons: our room was claustrophobic. No way that was a triple room, there was no space for our stuff and only two hangers. My in-laws had a much larger room, which made no sense! Sleep was bad, pillows too big and hard, but that’s my fault, as I should have asked for a replacement. At night it was stuffy, and if you wanted to open the balcony to let some fresh air in, the bin collection would wake you up at 4:40 every day. A real shame about our “family” room, as otherwise I would have loved this hotel, due to the staff.

Lovely staff, very close to the center with beautiful sea views. Very convenient between the sea and the view of Mount Etna
