Exploiting the fact of being close to the stadium for a concert one night, the double room was 175 euros "too much for a shabby room" and they also charged me 2€ for water taken from the fridge, which was expired, but I only realized it afterward... I do not recommend it to anyone

A nice hotel located on the outskirts of Messina the hotel may have seen better days, but the service couldn't be complained about and the staff were extremely nice to have done with one of the absolute best things about this hotel is that it is a car park within the protected area with television surveillance. Just when we were there Italian carabinieri had a seminar and we could sleep well in our nice spacious bedroom together with our dog. The hotel has a restaurant and the food there is fully satisfying and also a bar is available for those who wish to have a drink later in the afternoon or evening. The hotel is about five to 10 minutes from the highway. The surroundings outside the hotel are not so exhilarating with a large expressway and quite dilapidated houses all around.. However, there are also petrol stations for those who want to refill the car tank before the journey continues. The hotel staff speak English at least at the reception as well as one or two in the restaurant. Otherwise, it must be said that English skills in Italy and Sicily are poor. When travelling through Europe, one is struck by how big the difference is when passing from Denmark down through Germany over Austria and northern Italy. When you cross the border into Italy, it is suddenly as if you have ended up in a completely different place on the planet where the houses slowly, but surely the further south you go, lack in their maintenance and the language talent, when it comes to English, is increasingly conspicuous by its absence. Litter on the roads is also increasing as time goes on, not to mention the quality of roads, especially in urban areas.

The hotel is situated slightly outside the city centre. It offers a friendly atmosphere with a very accommodating Staff. It encompasses a restaurant with decent food and a bar for those who are interested in a late evening or afternoon drink. despite that our room needed some extra attention it was nice and had everything needed. The only thing we missed was our own coffee maker. On the other hand we just have to go down to the lobby ask for a double espresso. Despite being located close to a busy street, we were not disturbed. One of the really good features for this hotel is there gated parking supervised by CCTV. Access to the Estrada was easy and took approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Not a good thing with this hotel it is that it is located close to several gas stations offering you an opportunity filling your tank before continuing your journey.
