hotel room good to sleep...dun expect too much...the bathroom is kinda of disappointment...as there is no floor trap. the water from the shower kinda of overspill to the floor n has become wet n slippery...careful!.

Clean throughout and the family run business staff try to ensure a pleasant stay. They make eye contact, smile and are happy to help. One of our more pleasant service wise breakfasts in 4 weeks in Italy. Asking if you would like a coffee or a tea and then re-asking when the 1st cup is drained in not hard to manage but a foreign concept in too many other Italian hotels. Fairly close to the interesting old town center and you are well placed to then get out to the Roman villa early before all the other tour buses turn up. Room 401 faced the front street but noise mostly ok. Tiny bathroom, 2nd smallest I have ever seen. Japan was #1. Lots of hot water.

The only reason to visit Piazza Armerina is to visit the Roman villa at Casale and the Roman town of Morgantina. Both of these can and should be achieved in one day avoiding a stay at the Hotel Selene. We had trouble with the electronic locking system, the electricity fused and a total lack of hot water. The breakfast was adequate at best and there is no restaurant either in the hotel or nearby. It appears that the hotel is for sale without too much luck...avoid at all cost.
