Hotel Capo Campolato

Nice location, but the property is well below expectations for a 4-star hotel I stayed at the Capo Campolato Hotel & Banqueting in Brucoli for a wedding and decided to stay for the weekend, booking the only room available on Booking. From the photographs, in fact, the room seemed much better maintained than what I actually found. Upon my arrival, I was escorted to the room and, unfortunately, the first impression was decidedly negative: an accommodation with a kitchen, a bathroom with fixtures and tiles that seemed to date back to the 70s, yellowed-looking sheets, and a bedspread that appeared dusty. I immediately expressed my concerns to the reception. I must acknowledge the kindness and helpfulness of the receptionist, who showed me another room, but this one also essentially presented the same problems. At that point, I asked if a higher category room was available. I was shown their Superior room, which I decided to take: certainly more modern, both in the furnishings and in the bathroom, and decidedly more comfortable. The location of the property is very beautiful and certainly represents one of its strong points. Unfortunately, however, in my opinion, the property as a whole appears rather dated and in some places dilapidated, and does not reflect the standards that I would personally expect from a 4-star rated hotel. I also found the breakfast rather minimal, closer, in my opinion, to what one would expect in a lower category property. In conclusion, I really appreciated the location and the courtesy of the staff, but I believe that the property would need a major renovation and greater care for the rooms and breakfast to be up to the declared category and the expectations created by the images on Booking.

Impeccable facility, very clean and well-kept, excellent wellness center with a fantastic massage, we ate well but above all the staff was very friendly and kind, a special greeting to Alfio who was professional and friendly at the same time

Deserving property, vintage but clean rooms, daily cleaning and linen change. Very relaxing massage. Waiters and the lady at the reception were very kind and helpful. The only problem, about which even the property could not give us any clarification, is that the water from the shower/faucets comes out salty, the same as the pool water, which is also salty.
