Grand Hotel Federico Ii

This was the first stop of our Sicily vacation. The room was a great size, the location of the hotel is perfect. You are right around the corner from all of the activity of the city, but very quiet in the room. Internet worked well and breakfast was also very good. Reception were friendly

Hi my partner and I are young but love to travel. When we first got to the hotel, the receptionist was unwelcoming. First of all when she gave us our room key she shouted our room number while there were people in reception. 2nd she gave us a room with a broken safe which didn’t work properly at all. 3rd we figured out she actually gave us a standard room instead of an executive room. We were very frustrated after being up since 4.30 to not have been given the room that we had paid for. We felt it was due to our age. We went down to reception and there was a man instead who was friendlier and very helpful. The rooms were poor compared to the price. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Very easy to get into the centre of palermo.

Hotel in a central but quiet area. It could use some renovations, here and there. It could be better maintained, considering the price.
