The hotel is the typical old palace of Sicily. Large and stately. The room and bathroom are spacious, with classic furniture and a refrigerator. Breakfast was okay, but they did not replenish the food sufficiently. The best thing about the hotel is the location, within walking distance of the shopping area and historical sites. The worst: the lack of friendliness from the reception staff, curt and unfriendly, which surprised me for Sicily.

Wonderful stay! Impeccable hotel, clean and well-maintained in every detail. A special thanks goes to the Maître (DOMENICO) for the extraordinary welcome and the infinite availability he showed our little girls. He made them feel pampered and at home, with attention and smiles that one does not forget. Professionalism, kindness, and heart. We had the pleasure of trying the cuisine, everything very good, dishes prepared with care and passion! Also at the reception, staff always with a smile and ready to solve every little problem! What can I say, 3 days in Palermo that both we and the kids will never forget!

Apart from the central location and the large bedroom that we had, this is NOT a hotel that I would recommend. Think old fashioned British seaside hotel in Sicily. Very unfriendly, unapproachable and unhelpful staff. Highlighted by the fact that even asking for a simple tea bag, as the top up in rooms was appalling, was too much trouble and not possible according to the front desk and an absolute unheard of ask from the person running the small in house bar! Therefore, in terms of room top ups in terms of beverages and cosmetics, they were a major hot and miss! We were there 5 nights and had not 0.5l litre on day 1 provided between us! Also, all public areas in the hotel were closed in terms of service, apart from the main indoor atrium, which was fine if you smoked! It was seriously lacking in fresh air. The buffet breakfast was also something out of bygone years, in terms of waitors in back suits and white shirt attire. There fire, overall, a very disappointing stay considering the high room rate.
