Definitely, off the beaten tourist path, but still close to everything that you need. This is a local residential neighborhood, with everything you need, (shopping, markets, restaurants, laundry, car repair, etc.) right at your doorstep and at local prices! We had several dinners for 2, with wine for under 25 euros in the local restaurants. There were also fine dining restaurants within a 5 minute walk as well. Rooms were clean and spacious. We had a couple of small maintenance issues with the apartment, but they were fixed immediately after we brought them to their attention. Beds could be more softer though. Staff very friendly and attentive. Hats off to Ola and Paulo! Definitely, good value for the very low .room rates. Would stay again.

We rented for 4 nights a studio , number 14. It was a horrible experience, no tv , no wi-fi sofa bed with terrible mattress, small bathroom with broken shower, broken toilet seat we waited 30 minutes for the owner to show up the day we arrived, and I was counting of cooking but the kitchenette stove was with just one electric burner .....

We stayed on first floor in May. Local area interesting and safe especially the piazza at intersection with Via Principe de Scordia, where the locals hang out in the evening. Lots of eating places, supermarket etc very close. Couldn't master the bus down Via Roma to central Palermo, so walked each day and not really a problem. Apartment had perfectly adequate kitchenette with all necessary equipment, two balconies and clothesline and pegs on one of them. Best of all, there is a lift to take baggage upstairs. Owner is a very pleasant gentleman and employee went out of his way to help us.
