Bed and Breakfast Opera

We stayed in this B&B that was nothing short of horrible, cleanliness does not exist at all, bad smell just entering the front door, bathroom exhaust fan not working, towels and sheets with a bad smell, car parking is quite expensive, the only positive thing is that you can get around the historic center on foot. I do not recommend it.

The room and bathroom very comfortable. All clean and nice. The owner supremely friendly and attentive. Location a few blocks from the historic center. Nice one. Breakfast I didn't have but it looked spectacular. What I didn't like is that the room overlooks the street and the dining room. That being the case, the noise in the morning of preparing the table for breakfast and picking up the trash at 6:30 in the morning was a lot. The area a bit ugly but so are several areas around the center of Catania. I would go back to this B&B but with earplugs or ask for a room somewhere else.

Positioned behind the central area. We booked two rooms; on arrival the owner made us wait over an hour despite in the b and b was present the cleaning woman. Before letting us in he demanded payment of the remaining amount (maybe he was afraid that once we entered we would not pay the amount). Stairs to the steep and narrow rooms, no help to carry suitcases. On arrival the rooms presented an indecent situation regarding cleanliness. We demanded that they be cleaned up; which happened the following day. A narrow room, so much so that to access the window, between the bed and the wall there was a space of no more than 10 cm.; to take advantage of the bidel you had to do vicissitudes because positioned attached to the shower. The other room was equipped with a shower of cm. 50x50. A room with old fixtures so it was difficult to sleep because it seemed to be in the street and the noise of deafening cars. During the eight days of the stay the sheets were never changed and the change of creo towels took place only two three times. Only positive note the location a few steps from the cathedral and the Bellini theater. Maximum disappointment.
