5 stars are not enough. As a person with ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, I can state that the level of this property is well above average. The real difference is made by the people, who are uniquely kind, always present, always attentive, discreet, and courteous. The place is wonderful, between the sea and the pool; in summer you have everything you could wish for. The property is showing its age, the wear and tear is significant, but this does not affect the comfort in the common areas and in the rooms. I struggle to add a criticism. I just hope to be able to return and stay as long as possible.

This is the third year I have come to Baia Verde And this time, too, we had a great time. The property is splendid. Our room was very comfortable. But I would like to spend a few more words on the staff who, in my opinion, represent the strong point of the Baia Verde. I hope not to forget anyone. The reception staff is always ready to resolve any request. The ladies who take care of cleaning the rooms are super kind and very efficient and perfect. All the guys from the pool and sea platform assistance are very kind, always smiling and very patient in responding to my needs. The maintenance workers are very fast in solving small technical problems. The bar terrace is beautiful where you can spend very pleasant moments and here too the staff is impeccable. Finally the restaurant. Here too they are impeccable both at breakfast and at dinner. All smiling, very kind, very fast. They truly make you feel at home. The maitre d's are as impeccable as always. I read some criticisms about the breakfast and the lack of typical Sicilian products. For me it is very rich and varied with very fresh products....then if we want to have breakfast with pane e panelle, cannoli with ricotta or Sicilian cassate..well...then I confirm that they are missing. At the restaurant you eat well with menus that change every day. I will return there again next year.

We were very happy with our stay at Baia Verde. The outdoor areas are beautiful and what we liked most about the hotel. There was generally a calm atmosphere here, which was lovely. We are very happy we chose a hotel where you could relax in the sea breeze, because after a trip to the city center you are scorching hot and need to cool down. With both a pool, sea access, and a nice view, this was lovely. There is also a small bar on the patio that offers light and nice meals for lunchtime, such as salads, ice cream, toast etc. We also spent time here several evenings, as you can enjoy the nice summer evening with a sea view and a drink. The cleanliness of the hotel was also good, and the staff were helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is in a 70s classic resort style. We saw some reviews saying the hotel looked a bit outdated, but to us it had a nice standard and looked proper enough, especially when comparing to the other rustique buildings of the city. The airconditioning inside was also very good. The restaurant in the hotel was a bit up and down in food quality and service. They had some good dishes, but also a lot that was mediocre at best. They also did not speak english at all. The breakfast was decent, and was included which is nice. But you can get far better food, especially dinner, for a much better price in the city center of Catania. If you can work the cost of transportation to the city into your budget, I would recommend this hotel. Uber was very reasonable here and a trip into the city cost about 17 euros. You can of course rent a car too, but we found the driving culture here to be quite different from the rest of Europe and were glad we didn't.
