Excellent service, great food, and professional staff! The location is excellent with the beach across the street; between one meeting and another you can relax, and what's more, if you don't want the sea, you can take a dip in the pool!! I recommend it!

NH is a guarantee in any city, but in Catania it is enhanced by the kind, courteous, affable, friendly, pleasant, and professional staff... these qualities have faces with the respective names of Mr. Daniele and Stefano, who welcomed us at the reception with warmth, and Daniele took care of fulfilling a personal request regarding wonderful excursions taken in Taormina. Overall Experience We were very excited to invite our wedding guests to this NH location, as we had enjoyed our previous experiences at other NH hotels. Unfortunately, this visit was a major disappointment. We had to apologize to our guests for the lack of service they received. Food Service The service in the food service areas was the awful. For our 8-person dinner reservation, staff insisted on one bill for all 12 guests despite cost concerns. Two dishes arrived cold. Waiter Simone was difficult and told our party it was inconvenient to him to separate bills. We had to separate tables ourselves to split the bill. Visit the restaurant across the street for great food and service. Also, at the pool restaurant, server Erika was rude and failed to provide napkins, bread, or oil. Check-In and Guest Treatment Our wedding planner notified the hotel about our event, however, staff gave our guests a difficult time at the check-in desk as they arrived. They'd let guests up to our room, but when we had a non-Caucasian guest, they demanded their passport. When the screening began and my guest let me know what was happening, I called the front desk, so they insisted all guests return downstairs with their documents. I disagreed and the staff member hung up on me. Inconsistently, some guests received beach club cards, alcohol, or cookies as welcome gifts while others received nothing (notably, we, as the wedding couple did not receive anything). The hotel did nothing to accommodate or recognize the wedding. Facilities The property was clean and well-decorated. The pool was nice and clean but it was only open for a short part of the day. Balcony views were adequate; guests on the other side had better ocean views but complained of noise from the neighboring hotel and were not moved to quieter accommodations. Mosquitos often were inside the rooms, which would come out when we were sleeping. Positives Housekeeper Melinda was very kind. The check-in clerk was professional and thorough. Many front desk staff were nice, including a staff member that had spoken about his travels in the US (I forgot his name, sorry). We were grateful that the hotel held our larger bags while we traveled abroad. We really wished that our experience was better for our wedding, but this NH location disappointed.
