The place is truly beautiful, well-kept, and has a splendid atmosphere. Overall, the experience could have been perfect, if not for the behavior of one staff member. In particular, the sommelier proved to be, in my opinion, unprofessional and disrespectful toward the customer. Faced with simple questions, she responded rudely, with constant snide remarks and condescending attitudes, even going so far as to correct the customer on what they were asking or saying, instead of simply providing service with availability and professionalism. The same person to whom I had addressed a simple question walked past me without even answering. These are incidents that, in a place of this caliber and in an environment where customer attention should be fundamental, really make a difference. It's a shame, because the location is splendid and everything else is very well-maintained. Precisely for this reason, one would expect equal professionalism, politeness, and respect from all the staff.

I returned with pleasure to Capo Faro Resort. I can confirm the excellence of last year with the pleasant improvement of the cuisine and the setup of a garden terrace from which to admire the sunset. Everything very beautiful.

We stayed at Capofaro in Salina and it was one of the best stays we’ve had in the Aeolian Islands. The staff strike a rare balance, efficient and attentive, but never intrusive. They’re there exactly when you need them and invisible the rest of the time. The setting itself feels almost unreal. You can see Panarea and Stromboli from the property, and on clear days you get both volcanoes at once Stromboli and Etna in the distance. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop mid-conversation. The food was another highlight genuinely homemade and really good, the kind of cooking that makes you want to linger at the table. What struck us most was how personal it felt, more like staying at a friend’s beautiful house than a hotel. And if you’re lucky enough to run into the owners, they’ll happily stop to say hello and make sure you feel completely at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience Salina properly.
