Del Centro Hotel

overall it was a pretty nice hotel. 5 min walk to palermo centrale station and trains run straight to the airport, so super convenient for travel!! also roughly a 10 min walk from quattro canti with all the restaurants + shops. there's also a lidl straight across the road. breakfast was simple and really nice, mainly pastries and sweet stuff though. staff were super lovely and helpful!! it's not a super big or busy hotel, but it's simple and rustic :) the cons about the hotel was the size of the shower cubicle, the lack of fridge in the room, and the air conditioning not being very strong. there wasn't really a desk to get ready at, but i suppose that's because we got an economy room. the balcony was also quite small and snug. we had some birds do their business on clothes we'd left hanging, so we weren't very happy about that 😭. as well as that, it wasn’t exactly a fully furbished hotel, it was a building with a converted hotel on the second floor. another thing i would say is the area outside of the hotel, a little sketchy and not super clean, but other than that, it was decent.

Centrally located in Palermo. Very simple hotel, not very modern, but staff and breakfast make-up for it.

This lovely typical budget hotel was perfect for a short break to explore Palermo for the first time. So close, 10 minute walk, to the train station with direct access to and from the airport so no need for the cost of a transfer. The hotel staff are warm, welcoming and helpful and all speak English. Breakfast is an extensive continental breakfast with a full range of local pastries, fruit, juice, meats and cheeses. The coffee is exceptionally good for a hotel, The key tourist areas are within a fifteen minute walk from the hotel but if you like want to get a real feel for the city just a couple of steps off the Via Roma you will find lively bars, cheap authentic restaurants and interesting architecture and street art. At no point did we feel unsafe or threatened.
