Excelsior Hilton

Conveniently located to enjoy the fascinating sights of old Palermo, the Excelsior exceeded our expectations by quite some measure. Whilst externally looking unimpressive the internal hotel facilities are magnificent. Our room was large and very comfortably furnished and lacked for nothing. Breakfast was served in a secluded area with small, convenient, tables with a very plentiful buffet with a large selection of dishes on offer. The buffet was continually replenished by very pleasant staff attired in old-style long black aprons - very classy! A very happy stay, thank you.

We have just spent 2 nights here and it has been really comfortable except for some traffic noise till about 10pm. The hotel is very regal and the breakfast terrific. Close to the shops and restaurants.

We booked this hotel as part of a flight/hotel/car deal never having been to Sicily before so were not quite sure what to expect. It turned out to be a good choice, being relatively close to the city centre, just adjacent to parks and had a pleasant bar and restaurant. The service was great and the staff most helpful. Our room was very traditional and comfortable with very efficient air conditioning (sorely needed after a hard day sight-seeing in heat and humidity) Breakfast and dinner were very good and restaurant/bar prices reasonable
