Vanessa is absolutely lovely: but our three apartments were up from the main square in a very, VERY difficult area to get to. There are two parking spaces outside but I don't think the place is used very often, so everyone parks there to go to church, or shopping or - well, who knows? We spent thirty minutes in a stand off with our two cars, and if you have anything larger than a Fiat 500 4 seater you won't make it round the corners. THe apartments are VERY spacious, if a little sterile and new, but the stress of having to go out in the car ( and the dread of meeting anything on the little road up and squeezing the car through between the walls ) took the edge of it. I believe the other apts are better fro parking. and you DO need a car in this part of the world.

this is a two bedroom suite with kitchen and very comfortable. Vanessa went out of her way to help us. Be sure to call her before you arrive and she will meet you and show you where to park and bring you to the apartment. She made dinner reservations for us (Trattoria Del Goloso- terrific) and she helped us find Villa Romana in the morning.

Stayed here with my family of 12 in between Syracuse and Agrigento. We stayed at the 2 apartments in the same building as the office where you check in. The units are very modern and comfortable. A/C worked great and the hostess who checked us in was very helpful. My in-laws speak Italian so communication was easy. They are right in the heart of town and you can walk to many shops and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly in town and we had a great time. A huge open air market also was nearby-I don't remember which day of the week. The ruins and mosaics are very well worth visiting-they are amazing.
Wifi was only available in the check in/lobby area and parking had to be found on our own. There is a little pay and display lot 2 minutes away that was very cheap. The Villa Romana took maybe 10 minutes to drive to.
I had printed copies of my email correspondance and downpayment receipt. It was helpful at check in.
