Ai Lumi

Review for the B&B We arrived at the B&B and they immediately took us to the room. Very friendly, at the beginning they showed us the room and then they left us. Let's start by saying that our accommodation consisted of a living room with a kitchenette (which costs 5 euros per day per room occupant) with a sofa, table, and sofa. We immediately noticed that the table was full of crumbs from the previous occupants' meal. The air conditioning condensation had caused mold stains on the wall. The sofa cover was stained and substantially dirty. The bathroom was small and had damp stains on the shower wall, with body wash products already opened, probably by the previous tenants. The bedroom, the last room in a straight line, was not served by the air conditioner and was very hot. At bedtime (10 PM) we opened the bed, noticing blood stains on the sheet and lipstick on the pillow. We immediately contacted the manager, who informed us that she was not in Trapani and did not know if she had the possibility of giving us a new room as a replacement. Furthermore, she kept talking over me, (justifying herself by saying that Sicilians are made like that) not leaving me the possibility to explain. She did not believe my words and sent a person from the property's restaurant to verify. The person who came could do nothing but confirm that we were telling the truth. At this point the owner called me back, proposing accommodation verified on Booking that had a room available, without even having verified with a call. She proposed that we walk (15 minutes to the property).. Impossible with the suitcases!! We insisted that she pay for our taxi and she agreed. We called the new property ourselves to verify the actual availability of the room. At this point at 10:30 PM we reached the new hotel which welcomed us with true hospitality.

Finding a place in the heart of the historic center capable of maintaining this authenticity, without ever giving in to the logic of the classic "tourist trap," is a rare stroke of luck. In all these years I have never encountered a single flaw, neither in the cuisine nor in the service. The quality of the raw materials is evident from the first taste: the freshness of the ingredients speaks for itself and you can perceive a careful search behind every single menu proposal. A round of applause absolutely goes to the fish pasta dishes: well-prepared, balanced, and simply delicious, they are a must-try that I recommend to anyone stopping here. Excellent options on the wine list as well. The staff is the real added value: always friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and never intrusive.

If you want to experience an excellent gastronomic and oenological experience you must stop here, where Alfredo's expertise and Giuseppe's sympathy, make the difference!
