Resort Acropoli

We stayed as a group of five at this property in Pantelleria, split into two accommodations. The visual impact and the natural setting are undoubtedly wonderful; however, the operational management, transparency, and level of service received did not prove to be in line with what one would expect from a property that presents itself as a resort. Among the aspects that most affected our stay: * Accommodations, cleanliness, and security: On one occasion, the key to one of the rooms was carelessly left inserted in the external lock of the entrance door. Bathroom cleaning was not carried out daily, and in the four-person accommodation, the living area with a sofa bed lacked blackout elements on the windows, compromising morning rest. * Online expectations and reality: The images present on some portals appear to be generated or modified with artificial intelligence; the care in the table settings shown for breakfast does not correspond at all to reality. * Breakfast service and timing management: Even though we had breakfast within the scheduled time (between 9:30 and 10:00, with a cutoff time set at 10:30), it was pointed out to us on a couple of occasions that we were not waking up early enough, even if it was masked by a joking tone. The selection appeared quite rigid: thawed croissants and some products stated as out of stock and not replaced (for example, rusks, a breakfast staple). * Water supply and guest attention: Drinking water was not provided by default at breakfast. On the last day, having expressly requested it, the initial response from the person preparing it was that they didn't even have any "for themselves," only to then reconsider and bring us a couple of small bottles of room-temperature water (in the middle of summer). In another episode, we were offered a large tub of Greek yogurt already partially consumed by other guests, literally asking us if it "grossed us out" to take the opened one or if we would prefer a new one; although there was a sealed alternative, it remains a completely inappropriate suggestion. * Bathroom amenities and management responses: In addition to the failure to replenish complimentary toiletries (soap and body wash), we were even left without toilet paper, with the justification that there was no more staff on the property and that we would have to wait until the following day. The most unpleasant aspect was the subtle shifting of responsibility onto the customer: when faced with some of these shortcomings, it was pointed out to us—in the form of a joke—that the cause was to be attributed to our schedules, since because of our not-early-enough wake-up times, the person in charge could not go grocery shopping. While on one hand the beauty of the location is indisputable, on the other hand, customer care, continuity of services, and professionalism in hospitality should be essential guarantees. Blaming the guests for the property's organizational shortcomings, even if ironically, is unacceptable.

The first striking thing about this period residence is its history that is intertwined with the history of the Errera family and a piece of history of Sicily. The main body was built in two phases and today houses some of the apartments, The other apartments are housed in the neighboring dammusi. The lava stone and the green pantesco characterize the colors of the structure. The pool available 24 hours is a cameo for form and services. We stayed for 5 nights with a nice welcome. We arrived at 7:00 in the morning and we were given the opportunity to access our dammuso where we rested and then we were offered breakfast. There are no common areas available for breakfast which is served directly at the apartment. We felt at home with a discreet and at the same time careful management. You can park your car or vehicles in the area in front of the resort reserved for guests. Although we are located along Via Acropoli that connects the town to the military and civilian airports there is a lot of silence and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. Our dammuso was equipped with kitchen, living room, bathroom and one bedroom. Nothing was missing. They also had an outdoor area with seats, cushions, table and chairs with a path that connects between the greenery to the pool and the entrance. In the perimeter of the resort there are also excavations with walls and structures probably contemporary with the neighboring archaeological area. Some suggestions on the variety and quality of amenities and some minor maintenance (outer cushions, deck chairs). We had a great time, we relaxed and recommend this property. If we return to Pantelleria we will definitely be guests of this beautiful property.

We had a maximum relaxing stay here. In a 3-room suite with stately ambience. Directly at the pool (which was unfortunately still a little fresh). Next to us there were quite a few kids in the resort who had chosen the path around the pool for themselves as a race track (where are the parents who bring these blisters to the Räson?). Well, so I put my couch right in the middle of the kids' runway and ended this loud hustle and bustle accompanied by milk screaming. Room service works here via Whats Up, which also works quite well. We also ordered this super sweet Italian breakfast and ordered savory things like cheese and ham. The service is always very accommodating. The housekeeping does an excellent job - everything is tip top clean. The resort is 5 min by car (highly recommended: Sicily by Car!) from the airport, yet you don't notice anything noise-wise from the airport. After a few days we left well recovered from this idyll.
