Vulcano Blu Residence

Located in the middle of nature, but it is quite dated and the rooms do not correspond to the descriptions provided. It is quite far from the port and the center and often the shuttle schedules do not correspond to your needs, so you have to rent a vehicle. The bar service for breakfast is truly poor. If you have a problem you have to solve it yourself (we had the hydrofoil at six for our departure but the shuttle service starts at 7 so.... We had to rent a car again for transportation.

I stayed for 4 days at this resort and the experience was far below expectations. First of all the reception, no type of professionalism or kindness; they seemed almost annoyed by the arrival of other guests, then the poor cleanliness and old furniture that was not perfectly functional. The paid breakfast was reduced and poor, a few low-quality croissants or small pieces of cake. Considering the price paid, I expected much more. I do not recommend it; there are certainly better alternatives in the area.

We stayed in this residence in August, therefore in the middle of high season, and precisely for this reason we expected a decidedly higher level of attention and care. The dwellings show evident signs of wear and maintenance does not seem to be particularly effective. In our case, for example, the hair dryer was broken, as were the kitchen cabinet doors, and the bathroom was very small and cramped. We also reported both the poor cleanliness and the malfunction of the hair dryer, but, despite the report, no action was taken, nor was a solution proposed. One aspect that particularly disappointed us, because inconveniences can always happen: it is the ability of a facility to intervene promptly that makes the difference. During our stay, we also had a rainy day, which highlighted an additional problem: the internal paths of the residence became practically impassable, making movement within the facility difficult. In this case, too, we did not see any intervention by the staff to make the paths more accessible or at least limit the inconvenience. Considering that it is an accommodation facility and that a rainy day certainly cannot be considered an exceptional event, we would have expected much more attentive management. Another aspect that, in our opinion, penalizes the experience is the fact that the facility is located within a residence where private homes are also present. This inevitably takes away from the atmosphere and makes the whole thing inconsistent with expectations. Also on the service front, we expected something more. The reception operates with alternating service, the bar is poorly stocked compared to what one would expect from a tourist facility in the middle of August, and breakfast also turns out to be quite difficult and poorly organized. The shuttle service does not have very convenient hours, especially during the day; considering the proximity to the center, we expected more, although we appreciated the fact that they were helpful for our arrival and departure. Finally, we do not understand the requirement to wear a swim cap in the saltwater pool, especially considering that, at the same time, the general level of cleanliness of the pool did not seem to us to justify such a strict rule. Overall, it is not necessarily a facility lacking potential, but we believe it needs more maintenance, organization, and, above all, attention toward guests. Inconveniences and small problems can happen anywhere; what makes the difference is the way they are handled. In our case, despite having reported them, they simply remained unresolved. Especially in high season and considering the price paid, we definitely expected more.
