Airone

We went on holiday with friends ( x 4 families) all staying at the hotel which is situated appx 30-40mins from Catania. The hotel is up in the hills, if you’re lucky to get a room with views it is beautiful to open you curtains 1st thing in the morning. The room I had was very comfortable double bed and sofa which could be turned into a sofa bed however the shower cubicle was quite small and please note that chambermaids do not necessarily clean and make your bed daily unless you ask at reception. There was kettle and Nespresso machine in my room but not rooms had that. Also you only got 1 capsule for the Nespresso daily!! Staff - Reception staff fairly friendly/helpful Breakfast- continental breakfast which is ok. Dependent on weather they did set up breakfast outside Facilities- outdoor pool / small gym / indoor pool & Spa ….which you have to book time slot to use Places to visit- Catania appx 30-40mins Syracuse Appx 1.5hrs Taormina - Appx 40mins really nice shops and restaurants Mount Etna - we used a tour company ( Mount Etna Jeep Tour.. website go-Etna.com ) to go to mount etna. Did full day with lunch. Tour guide was very good. Meeting point is appx 15mins from hotel and petrol station. To leave your car there you pay appx 4 euros

I stayed at the Hotel Airone in Zafferana and the experience was truly pleasant. The property is very welcoming and immediately conveys a pleasant feeling of tranquility. The spa is the ideal place to relax and disconnect from the routine, while the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-kept in every detail; the breakfast is excellent and abundant. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful facility, impeccable services. I recommend a nice weekend dedicated to pure relaxation.
