City Hotel Merano

Very nice hotel in a very desirable and quiet location with respect to the center of Merano, about 5 minutes walking, with private covered parking facilities. We had a very large room with kitchenette and balcony. The staff is very friendly and help the guests in every way. Good breakfast buffet. We were travelling with our cat and it was no problem at all.

The hotel is located not far from the popular Laubengasse and is therefore quite central. It is very stylish and we liked it very much. Our very beautiful panoramic suite with the huge balcony and the view over Merano was excellent. We also thought it was really great that we had two TVs, in the bedroom and in the living area. On the one rainy day, it was perfectly fine to stay in the suite. At noon, we also went to the in-house bistro once, and with a very delicious bruschetta and a draft beer, lunch was perfect. The breakfast was brilliant. A very good and extensive buffet was set up here in the great room. Additionally, there was an extra menu at every table. Here you could order your coffee, latte, or cappuccino with various egg dishes, salmon toast, etc., and have them served at the table. Simply great!! Last but not least, I want to praise the entire hotel team and especially the management, Barbara Hölzl, who was very helpful and gave us good tips (e.g., the Blaue Traube) during nice little conversations.

Nice clean room, breakfast that literally leaves nothing to be desired, super location to the center. Free parking in the underground garage.
