We recently reserved this hotel - as it was in a great location. Unfortunately - the moment I walked into the lobby , there was an unpleasant smell that made a bad first impression. The walls were dirty and covered in marks, and the overall cleanliness was far from expectations. Upon entering our suite (the best in the building) I noticed nicked and worn furnishings. This was not the four-star experience advertised, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort or quality. We left the hotel within minutes of check-in and requested a refund for above the reasons. The staff stated that we needed to email management. When I emailed management - they informed me that I should have requested when we left the hotel (which I did). They were unwilling to provide even a partial refund (we had booked the room for 5 nights). The girl at the front desk informed me that she was able to re-rent the room.

Truly squalid in every aspect: uncomfortable, narrow, and long rooms where the bathroom has three distinct "sections" scattered here and there throughout the room. The highlight should be the shower, which is dark even when lit by tiny lights and smells of dampness, probably dirty because it is difficult to clean and has many orifices for various sprays, including cold water. I recommend sticking to the very uncomfortable classic showerhead because it is the only one that is easy to use: if you try to press a button, I won't tell you what might happen because it is tragically indescribable, and you will only be able to turn everything off with great difficulty. The supplies are minimal and terrible: very sad little soaps from boarding houses from a hundred years ago, old and hard towels. The closet is a bar, unreachable if there are three of you. The air conditioning is very noisy; you cannot set the temperature above 24 degrees, but it still seemed very cold to me and below the 24 degrees set, and it is impossible to block it by opening the window due to the outside stench or to just turn it off, dying suffocated in the cramped room with the very low ceiling. Breakfast is as dismal as the room: very little choice and no quality in anything. On the positive side, the central location, but you pay for it with the inconvenience of reaching the property and with suitcase wheels that will inevitably break. The price-quality ratio is absolutely unfavorable; they were very good at taking promotional photos, but everything is terrible, and a terrible smell lingers throughout the building, a building equipped with very uncomfortable stairs, a dilapidated elevator, and windows that overlook either the noisy street or a horrible internal courtyard.

Best location right by the cathedral with very nice rooms and a good breakfast! The staff is extraordinarily friendly!!!!
