Fattoria Pieve a Salti

Having organized a motorcycle tour with friends in the Val d'Orcia, we decided to stay at the Fattoria Pieve a Salti, already known to some of the group while a new experience for the others. It confirmed itself as an excellent accommodation facility, first of all it is immersed in the typical Tuscan hills with breathtaking views and equally fantastic sunsets. The group stayed in the part with the indoor pool equipped with a whirlpool, a real godsend after the hot rides through the Tuscan countryside. We always had dinner at their restaurant where we appreciated the culinary excellence offered (the pici all'aglione and the inevitable Florentine steak ordered the night before were particularly appreciated). Clean and comfortable rooms, courteous staff attentive to our requests. A thank you to the lady on the staff who every evening took us back and forth from the restaurant to our accommodations (the Fattoria is made up of two farmhouses 1.1km apart, one with an outdoor pool and ours with the indoor one). I wanted to get away from the chaos of the sea and enjoy my beautiful Tuscany, and I succeeded. As soon as we arrived, we were overwhelmed by peace and beauty. The property offers comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent cleanliness, and a breathtaking view from the windows. It has an indoor pool with a whirlpool, and another one outdoors with a breathtaking view located in the other block. Given the heat, we arrived by car, but it might also be pleasant to walk there at another time. The breakfast was truly extensive and everything was very good; we had lunch at the restaurant and have nothing to complain about. In the end, we got what we wanted: to get away from the chaos, and thanks to the very kind staff, the property, and the location, we succeeded. To be repeated.

We stayed 3 nights at the Fattoria Pieve a Salti. The property is very large and pleasant, especially the outdoor pool with the viewpoint. The area is very beautiful and allows you to visit many small towns like Buonconvento, San Quirico, and also Pienza. The negative aspects are: a somewhat spartan room lacking a window in the bathroom, unprofessional restaurant waiters (one kicked a fork), and finally, prices a bit too expensive for activities like the riding stable or the wellness area.
