Poggio alla Pieve

Surreal graduation dinner! You arrive and the environment already confuses you; the olive trees, the pool, the atmosphere of the lights seemingly manage to mask the junk that decorates the entire garden, but you still don't understand why the 2 ladies, the owner and her daughter, are there to welcome you with an almost embarrassing kindness, and after just the appetizer you understand that it is a real strategy, aimed at shifting attention because the food offered cannot be considered a dinner, the kitchen practically cannot be considered as such because it doesn't exist, and the cake is a mush clearly made by inexperienced hands. An important evening for us ruined irremediably I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST IT

Horrible stay at these villas. Absolutely do not stay here. They threw extremely loud parties that went against the law more than half of the nights of our stay. The owners had horrible communication and said they did not care that the noise was disrupting our sleep. The noise went well over midnight, and the police were no help either. Every phone call either hung up on us or they FaceTimed us to sing in our face over the phone. The owners were incredibly disrespectful and we were very disappointed with our experience here.

We had lunch with the family to celebrate my son's communion... an excellent lunch, and we still fondly remember Elena's famous little mushrooms (paradisiacal)... everything was truly delicious... I just regret that the rain did not allow us to enjoy the relaxation and peace of the garden... But I will definitely return to savor it all.
