Hotel Fortunella

Excellent 10 night stay in this family run quant and very charming hotel. Excellent location for the beach, travels out far- Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Cinque Terre - very attentive and helpful service from the owners- Salvatore is an amazing manager and nothing is ever too much trouble. Lovely pool, always a space to relax, if you are not looking to go anywhere. Food is incredible - lovely breakfast and very well made dinner- compliments to the chef- never a let down. If you want a great holidays in a relaxed and family run atmosphere with a heart and souls of Italian resort - do not hesitate to book. A gem of a place to discover. Would go back in a heartbeat. Very hardworking staff doing their almost to lease the guests, polite and very helpful if you have any questions. Just a few suggestions for the hotel very minor but they might make a difference: - Would be great to have the water included on the dinner price for half board- saves you the pay 2 euro every night if you want it with your meal. - glasses/ cups n the rooms- a little touch which can assist the customers to be able to have a drink in their room and the balcony - it being just a bottle of water form the supermarket, some juice or wine if you venture out for the wine tasting- if it is there you will not need to bother the staff every night to get them form the bar. Only a minor thing, but will make a difference.

What a lovely hotel and location. A true family hotel experience where nothing is too much trouble. This is small hotel with amazing pool nestled in a street 300 metres from beach. Food is a real highlight every evening , 4 courses for you to try authentic italian cuisine beautifully presented. Hotel location is right next to bus stop to explore Lucca, Pisa, Viareggia and my favourite Pietrasanta and more. Buses are tap on and off but if you are unsure ypu can buy tickets in advance from reception. Great location to explore tuscany Travelled with my teenager and both had lovely time.

I had a lovely holiday at Hotel Fortunella and was genuinely happy with every aspect of my stay. Salvatore could not do enough for his guests. Him and his wife were incredibly friendly and helpful, spoke perfect English, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They really helped make my stay enjoyable and made me feel very welcome. My room was clean, modern and comfortable, and it was cleaned thoroughly every day. The whole hotel was well looked after and had a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were equally good. The hotel is ideally situated on a quiet side street just off the main promenade in Lido di Camaiore, so it is peaceful while still being within easy reach of the beach, shops and everything along the seafront. There is also a lovely swimming pool which hotel guests can use free of charge, which was a real bonus. It is worth being aware that you do have to pay to use the private beach facilities, however Salvatore can arrange a discounted rate for hotel guests. It is also a great base if you want to explore the surrounding area. I was able to buy bus tickets at the hotel for travelling to the nearby towns and to the train station, where you can easily travel further afield to places such as Florence and Pistoia. From the location and food to the cleanliness, facilities and wonderful hospitality, I couldn't fault my stay. I had a fantastic holiday and would definitely choose Hotel Fortunella again.
