Hotel Danila

I returned to Elba after years; I wanted to spend a vacation with my daughter, and in any case, we wanted to rediscover this island. I found this hotel NOT, or rather NEVER, specified that there were steps and more steps to get to the room, but that, in the end, could have been okay. The worst part was the breakfasts and the dinner we had. Breakfast with dry bread, hard, it seemed old; fruit sometimes not good, and let's not talk about the savory items; it takes so little to make it better. But thank goodness I didn't book half-board because the only evening we had dinner there, the first one, was a big disappointment and much more expensive than any other restaurant on the island. Octopus salad that, bought ready-made at any supermarket, was better and tastier, not to mention the spaghetti with clams. It is too expensive for what we ate.

Room reachable after a hundred steps...never mentioned during the booking phase, noisy air conditioning...no support. They never sent a technician to fix it. Too bad....

Very cute hotel where we had a great time and felt pampered. Kind and friendly staff. We weren't able to try the restaurant because we already had all our meals planned, but we were sorry because it looked very well-kept and had a splendid terrace. We were only there for a few nights, but I would have easily stayed here for more days... we were sorry to have to leave this hotel!
