Hotel La Perla del Golfo

Hotel is beautifully kept, very clean with stunning views of Countryside beach and sea from the decked pool area, great jacuzzi, excellent pool bar staff who make very good drinks. There is lots of space at the pool and it is very peaceful, never felt crowded. Breakfast is nice. We stayed in a sea view room and the panoramic view from our balcony was breathtakingly beautiful overlooking the beach, ocean and surrounding unspoiled countryside. Nice comfy beds, good shower, air conditioning was ok but could have been better. Pleasant staff. 5-10 minutes walk to excellent beach and small Town. No information provided on check in had to ask for everything so that could be improved but an excellent hotel.

Beautiful property, in a strategic location, consisting of a central part and other accommodations in well-kept greenery, large and beautiful panoramic pool, the accommodations on the top floor are reachable only by an external staircase, but the view is worth the effort. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. At breakfast there is everything and more, perhaps a bit of imagination is missing; if I have to make a note, it concerns the menu for those who, like me, are vegetarian, which would require more attention.

We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel La Perla del Golfo. The hotel is very beautiful, well-kept, and above all very clean, but unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price paid. The main problem was the bed: the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and we slept very poorly for all 5 nights. Being pregnant, I asked for a mattress topper to try to be more comfortable, but they didn’t have any available. The air conditioner, furthermore, was rather noisy, but with the heat it was impossible to keep it off. A note of merit goes to Gabriella, the lady in housekeeping, who was the only one to really care and tried in every way to find solutions to make me more comfortable. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Even at breakfast we encountered little attention: there were no indications regarding the ingredients of the pastries and, being pregnant, I couldn’t know for sure what I could eat. Only one waiter bothered to ask the pastry chef for information, but the answer was still imprecise. The room was also very small compared to the price paid. The thing that left us most perplexed was the handling of our complaint at check-out: after explaining all the problems, we were simply told “okay,” without even an apology or a minimum of interest, even though I had pointed out several times that I was pregnant. It’s a shame, because the property is really beautiful and clean, but the quality of sleep heavily impacted our stay. A special thanks to Gabriella, who showed much more attention than what we found at the reception.
