La Casa del Melograno

My wife and I stayed at Il Melograno for the month of October and had a fantastic time. Rossano was a perfect host, communicating well ahead of and during our trip, meeting us at the station and responding very quickly to fix one or two small hiccups that occurred early in our stay. The house is over three levels, very clean and well equipped with a good shower and comfortable bed. It is ideal for a couple but also works for four as we had my wife's sister and her husband join us for a week. The location is perfect being just outside the old town of Castiglion Fiorentino - which has an interesting history and a good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants - but also an easy walk to the train station, providing a short trip to Arezzo and Cortona and with Florence, Orvieto and Perugia all within an hour or so. One small criticism is that unfortunately the wifi cannot be relied upon - although to be fair this is outside of Rossano's control - with reception varying based on time of day and the vagaries of the Tuscan weather. All in all we had a great trip, would definitely stay there again and would unhesitatingly recommend Il Melograno to anyone planning a trip to Tuscany.

Il Melograno is a very comfortable and private apartment with all the amenities that we could want. The owner, Rossano, is a wonderful host, willing to do whatever he can to make our stay enjoyable. He picked us up at the train station on arrival and dropped us off again when we departed. He was always available by text or cell phone if we had questions or just needed suggestions for a great dinner! We used Castiglion Fiorentino as our base to explore Tuscany; it is a great location! We highly recommend Il Melograno!

a Stunning apartment, close all amenities and walking distance from and to the railway station- which is a great way to explore Tuscany! The house has everything you want, from a comfortable bed to a washing machine and everything in between! The apartment has some amazing views over the valley and is in walking distance from some great restaurants, pubs and moms & paps stores! WiFi was a great add-on and what I liked about the place and dealing with Rosanno the owner was A) his friendly attitude and willingness to try and support where we can. (On arrival in Castiglion Fiorentino he even fetched us from the station late at night and again dropped us off early on the morning of departure) B) there were no hidden cost or nasty surprises on check-out. I have no reservation in recommending Il Melograno- it was really amazing! Rosanno- thanks for that bottle of extra virgin olive oil from your place- absolutely amzing and much appreciated!
