Grande Albergo Fortuna

We cannot confirm the top ratings like this; the room we had for one night is to be rated as moderate even for the country's category. We spent another night here on our round trip and are happy to confirm that the dinner and also the breakfast were really excellent. The service is also to be rated very well, however the sleep quality was somewhat moderate; the beds did not quite meet our expectations, especially when the trip continued very early.

Our stay in room 109 at Fortuna Resort from 10 to 17 September 2026 was wonderful! It is the right place to relax! The property is surrounded by greenery, away from the noise - well maintained large park with plants and awesome pool, a car parking protected by a roof, beautiful view. Excellent cuisine with lots of different choices - plentiful breakfast (rich in pastries - around 10 different types of cakes; great espresso&cappucino made from coffee beans), very tasty and abundant dinner, great selection of wines. Nice cocktails, great pianist and singer. Clean and tidy! Excellent service! Congratulations to all the staff always smiling and courteous – really friendly and helpful staff. Deep gratitude to the tall man at the reception - wears glasses, has a sporty look and was so kind to us (unfortunately, I don't remember his name for sure... maybe Simone or Silvio o Stefano; I wish I remembered his name)! Тhe waiter Marco at the restaurant and manager Giorgio are also amazingly kind. Un grazie di cuore per l’ospitalità! Saluti dalla Bulgaria!

The stay was perfect from every point of view: from the courtesy and completeness of the information received online for the booking to the reception at the property. All the staff proved to be very kind and ready to satisfy our every request. Dining at the highest levels with very fresh, quality food and a very interesting wine list. The pool was always well-maintained and very clean, excellent for letting the kids play after mornings spent hiking in the Val d'Orcia and cooling off a bit while waiting for dinner. A heartfelt thank you from us and our kids for allowing us to take a break for a few days from daily stress!
