Here is a clearer, firm and professional version of your assessment: We stayed at the Hotel Alba in Florence between July 19 and 22, in a group of 15 people. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was extremely unpleasant. Mr. Andrea, who served us on arrival, was very rude, arrogant and unhelpful. He claimed that he could not find the reservation of my husband or my family, said that the reservation did not exist and that the hotel was crowded. In view of the situation, I contacted the travel agency in Brazil. Only after he realized that I was speaking to the agency, he located our reservation and claimed that we had not informed our last name. However, he had the passports of all guests in his hands, which made this justification inconsistent. I ended up offering the printed confirmation of the reservation, but he didn't even want to analyze it, stating that he already had all the information on the computer. This whole situation caused us a huge embarrassment right upon arrival, especially because we were in a large group. The most disappointing was that even after locating the reservation, Mr. Andrea did not apologize for the disturbance or show any concern about what happened. For this reason, unfortunately we do not recommend this hotel. A cordial and respectful service makes all the difference, especially at the time of check-in, which is the guest's first contact with the establishment.This version conveys the facts in an objective and polite way, which usually gives more credibility to the evaluation.

We were travelling through Italy and ended up needing accommodation for the night due to a rental car disaster (not an accident) but will save those details for another review - we were lucky enough to find the Alba Palace Hotel while walking the streets not far from the Florence railway station. The hotel is reasonably priced, 3 star but deserve 4, clean, well located, friendly staff, great breakfast which includes on the rate. Free happy hour for guests. There was facility to leave our luggage safely the next morning while we went sightseeing. I am a discerning traveller, I would highly recommend this hotel as an option.

I wish I could put a 10 stars for this hotel , not sure where to start with ? The location is 5 minutes walking from the train station, 8 minutes walking from the Florence Dumo . Super clean, very nice and professional staff , Sara , Irene and the lady who prepares breakfast (sorry forgot her name) , talking about breakfast, was so good and perfect variety . The rooms super clean and got everything you need . If I ever go back to Florence, this hotel will be definitely my spot .
