B&B San Frediano Mansion

The room was very large as was the bathroom, all very clean and well appointed. It is advertised as a B&B but they don't do breakfast, however there is a bakery and a coffee shop close by. The owner was extremely helpful as my luggage hadn't arrived with me on the plane and he assisted where he could to help me. Bedroom was serviced early each day. Felt very secure here with the locked gate and door. Central to most tourists spots.

It’s super old and the service is terrible. One of the staff parked our car and said that he put in our licence plate number so whe where able to go in ZTL, 1 year later I got a fine of 400€ All I needed was a note from them to say I stayed there and that they parked my car. Because of “new management” they won’t help me. Poor customer service. It cost them nothing to write this for me ao the fine is waved...

Warm welcome from Alessandro (who works with his brother managing the rooms of the hotel) Clean, hot shower, comfortable bed and very well located! All we needed from a 2 nights-place in Florença. From the train station it’s about 7-10 min. In front of the hotel we found the best panini ever in Italy, a place called “La Prosciutteria Firenze” - good place for lunch even better for dinner. Table of hams and cheese are big and delicious!!! Also next to the hotel we found best gelato we tasted (and believe me we tasted a lot!! 20 in 10 days, 1 for me/1 for my wife every single day lol) - place named La Carraia - it’s a must. Take the pistachio, you’ll thank me later. At night, lots o bars and restaurants nearby- just to choose the type you are up to: drink, panini, pasta, pizza, etc. During the day, you just need o cross the bridge (4 min) and then you are close to the main touristic places: by the way, take a time to go in the Academia Galleria (this is the place where lot of renascentist artist used to work and then they let some of their master pieces - including the big Davi from Michelangelo). And also on Leonardo Da Vinci museum. So you will find a lot to do in Firenze - prepare yourself to walk about a 10-15km a day ;-)
