I was just needing accommodation near the train. Tick It was close enough to main sites , when GPS was working. Its clean. Although they officially have no manned reception, it all seemed to work seamlessly with codes. Nice view over the roofs. It was heat 🥵 wave conditions and the air-conditioning was a lifesaver. On the 5th floor, thankfully there is an old style lift. Plenty of resturants and stores at the door

During our first night we realised that there was an issue with the air conditioning unit, which meant it was so loud that we were unable to sleep with it on and given the temperature in Florence we were also unable to sleep with it off. We mentioned this to reception the next morning and they explained that a customer had also complained earlier in the week and that they had asked an engineer to visit and check the unit. They said unfortunately the unit was coming to the end of its life and needed to be replaced, hence the noise. They said they would try and find is a fan to use instead but that they thought they were in use in other rooms. However, no fan was left. We requested a partial refund (20%) as this issue obviously affected our stay. We were told we couldn’t receive this but could instead receive a free night’s stay, which while a generous offer, wasn’t super helpful given we have no plans to visit Florence again in the near future. The subsequent message also alleged that the reason the air conditioning unit was loud was because it wasn’t in quiet mode, and as they amended it to quiet mode for us, didn’t leave a fan. We find this disappointing (/untruthful) as the air con was still as loud the second night and this does not align with our discussion we had with reception after the first night. This is all disappointing as the hotel is otherwise in a great location, well presented and clean.

The hotel is bang in the middle of Florence, minutes from everywhere! It is accessed via a lift that takes you straight to their reception on the 5th floor. It is immaculately clean, modern, the comms were great before, during and after our stay. We stayed in room 8 which had a lovely view. Bed very comfy, shower great, I literally cannot fault this place - we travelled around Italy for a few days staying in different places and this was by far our favourite.
