Duomo

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Located in the heart of Florence, 20 meters from the cathedral. Possibility of on-site parking. Friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Rooms with original period stucco. Predominantly foreign clientele given the level of the property. Lucullan breakfast, both sweet and savory, with excellent quality products. Possibility to refresh yourself in the main lounge throughout the day. The room is literally breathtaking. The bed is very comfortable. Large bathroom also equipped with a bathrobe and slippers. Availability of luggage storage after check-out. In short, everything you could want in a stay in Florence.

We stayed here in May. What a beautiful hotel and what wonderful staff! Breakfast was lovely and the hotel is in the perfect location. The restaurant recommendations were spot on and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our room was really lovely (and big! )and the bathroom was great, particularly the double shower. We had an amazing time here and can’t wait to return!

Palazzo Nicollini has been our go-to place for short stays in Firenze for two decades. So convenient and friendly staff conversant in English. One tip would be to stay in rooms that do not look on to the Piazza al Duomo since it can be noisy some nights. Breakfasts are very nice and they will fix fresh eggs on request.
