Florence Dream Domus

An elegant B&B in the San Lorenzo area, a stone's throw from Piazza della Signoria, but at just the right distance from the chaos. It is located in a historic building, with the resulting pros and cons. The room was very spacious, consisting of a double bed and a single bed. The interiors are well-kept and traditional in a classic style. Large bathroom, but with a step in the middle to watch out for to avoid tripping. The inability to have breakfast at the property and the lack of an elevator are two downsides. The reception is staffed until a certain time, then there is no one left. You enter and exit using the keys to the main door that are provided upon arrival.

This hotel is a true hidden gem. They don’t have much social media hence the old photos. It is so close to everything. Great value for money. Rooms were large and very clean. The decor is very old style florentine but it was great. Highly recommend.

This is a stylish and well located place for a good price. Our trip, in April 2024, was a happy one, with a three night stay. Some issues with cleanliness and water pressure, but some great decor and a location to die for, right next to San Lorenzo and the Ruccelai-Medici palace, both of which are excellent visits.
