Girasole House

We chose this property only because of the proximity to Firenze rifredi station but it is the only positive thing. We were greeted by an elderly gentleman who for goodness sake, but every two by three lost the thread of speech and kept us half an hour there to explain the code the keys etc. when I said I wanted to pay with the ATM it darkened in the face, absurd! If you want to black at least don't judge who wants to be honest. Stone pillows, absurd noises from the street and the corridor of the structure and dulcis in last broken elevator, like My neck of the rest. Never again.

I start with the only positive note: the location a few steps from Rifredi station (5 min from Santa Maria novella). Then little staff, reception (at the time of booking and in various communications) pedantic and unfriendly. The whole pension has an old smell and decor. The room without curtains at the window, with mosquitoes smashed on the walls. Ants on the table. Poorly maintained bathroom. Old and obsolete 80s blankets. High price!

We were greeted by an elderly gentleman very helpful, affable and very friendly. The room even if a little old is cozy and is fixed and cleaned every day. Unfortunately the elevator is currently broken and I had to do with a huge suitcase 2 flights of stairs. If I can afford I would advise the owner to change the beds and the mattresses are "sinked" by wear, and always if possible I would recommend changing the fixtures, you hear every street noise and condensation forms in the room, I also recommend the installation of a hair dryer in the rooms, are small things that in a living room make a difference (in a positive). The property has a common area dedicated to breakfast, this area is equipped with microwave, food warmer and bread warmer, near the property there is a supermarket and so you can make your own breakfast in this common area. (I know it's not the owner's fault) but the stairs of the building are very dirty and there is a bit of smell, it would be appropriate to hire (with the other condominiums) a cleaning lady who weekly takes care of the cleaning of the stairs. For the rest I would recommend this place also for the proximity to the train station Rifredi, about 50 meters, within a few minutes you are immediately in Florence center.
