Great location, welcoming host, clean room with aircon, fridge and kettle. Quiet. A bit hard to find as in a small side street.

The hotel is great! Extremely well placed (about 5 minutes from the Duomo ). Spacious room with good bedding. The welcome, nothing to say, he speaks very well French so rather practical. Bonus point for the balcony! On the other hand, you can hear quite a lot coming and going on the stairs and the curtains let the outside light pass (no greasy morning possible but we are not here for that! )

When you arrive you are greeted at reception by what we assumed was an african migrant ,he took our pasports ,but refused to take one of ours id card , insisted that EU id card is not a “real document” “not something you can use at airport”. We were just standing at the desk debating when probably he just doesnt understand what he is looking at. In reality service was on level you get in India when reception manager calls “boss” with landline phone with cord cut. So yeah.. *40-50 extra euros for different hotel would not put you through time wasting comedy. *couple from portugal that came right after us had same problem (id cards)
