Hotel Sul Ponte

Stumbled onto this hotel when we decided to spend an extra night near Florence without getting hit with city center prices. Actually got a bit lost and just came upon Sul Ponte. Good stuff: nice guy at the desk; reasonable prices; big, clean rooms (we took 2); free parking. Nothing really bad to say. Breakfast was so-so packaged buns and cakes plus zippy boxes of juice, but good coffee and tea. Just about what one would expect from a budget place. About 10 miles or less from the main sights of Florence.

From the creepy frontdesk gentlemen with long fingernails to the baby cockroaches in my room, this place has to be a pass. In addition, the price of 75 euros for such accommodation is a slap to the face. The 'long fingernail' guy at the front desk was extremely rude and I suspected a drug user. Anyway there are many bed and breakfast alternatives in the area that were more than satisfactory.
