La Luna Guesthouse

We had a really great stay at La Luna Guesthouse and felt very welcome from the start. The rooms were beautifully designed, especially the impressive ceiling fresco impressed us. The bed was also very comfortable and the location ideal to discover Florence on foot. A very special praise goes to our host Riccardo. He was always very friendly, attentive and easily accessible. Whether earlier check-in, storage of our luggage on the day of departure or his many great recommendations for Florence, he was always helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. You immediately notice how important the well-being of his guests is to him. If we travel to Florence again, we would book here again anytime!

We enjoyed La Luna Guesthouse. The location is great. Everything is within walking distance of main attractions, but not directly in the hustle and bustle of tourism. About a 10 minute walk and you’re directly into popular tourist attractions. Our room was spacious, and we had some larger bags from being in Europe for a long time. Riccardo was gracious and helped us bring our bags inside. The rooms were clean and we had our own bathroom / shower area which was also comfortable and had more than enough space for us to feel comfortable. Riccardo was extremely kind. Before the trip, he was responsive and quick to reply to any questions I had. When we arrived, he sat down with us to tell us all about the attractions, the best spots to go for a run, eat, and where scenic views are. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse and would recommend La Luna as accommodation for others travelling to Florence. Riccardo was the most responsive host and his hospitality is fantastic!

We recently stayed and cannot fault the host Riccardo - he was friendly, helpful, and overall one of the nicest hosts I’ve ever encountered - I felt very reassured he was on hand if we needed anything. The shower was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. He allowed us to leave our bags with him on our final day which was lovely (rather than dragging them around the city). The only negative I’m afraid is the area, as although close to the city (20 minute walk, 10 of which is along the river), the road itself that it is situated along was quite rough and we didn’t feel massively safe walking past the corner cafe / kebab shop with all the men congregating outside. This is no fault of Ricarddo’s and is just one of those things… as 2 young female travellers, I would probably suggest somewhere in a nicer area and not so close to the train station.
