Le Stanze dei Medici

Myself and my partner stayed here for 5 days. The location is excellent within easy reach of most places / sights / restaurants. There is a great coffee shop directly across the road I believe it’s called Shake Cafe. We had a basic double room which was quite small and very simple but clean and with amenities such as a fridge and wardroabe which was great. During our stay we never saw anyone at the reception of the hotel. My understanding is that the reception is only staffed up until a certain point of the day, otherwise they are based at the sister hotel a 5 minute walk away. This didn’t cause us much inconvenience, but it would have been more of a personal touch if we could meet the staff at this hotel. Whenever We had requests, we sent emails over and these were dealt with promptly. Overall we had a good stay here, and would recommend to others looking for simple and budget accommodation in a fantastic location.

Warm welcome and introduction from staff at reception, to Florence - fantastic location at the heart of the city. Bedroom comfortable and clean. Would recommend for low cost accommodation if travelling with friends.

This hotel was in a great location at a great price. Easy walk to Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Accademia Gallery, train station, and more! Room was small, but we didn’t care because we were too busy exploring beautiful Florence.
