196 € for a single room of 2 square meters, run-down, stuck in the 80s, with an ugly, shabby bathroom, without a bidet. Minimal breakfast, limited choice, with discount products and little quantity. Everything was truly terrible. Only the location is convenient.

Many thanks to the nice man at the front desk who helped us change to a room that met our expectations. We had a nice stay at the hotel. Good breakfast in a grand dining room. Good cleanliness of the hotel room. Perfect location in Florence.

Pros: The kindness and competence of the staff. The coffee maker available in the lobby. The authenticity and charm of the building: it feels like stepping back in time and finding oneself in a private hotel from the time of the Medici. The breakfast room and the breakfast itself are very varied and plentiful (with excellent filter coffee). The decor of the rooms (very old-fashioned; you need to know if you like the style; do not expect a minimalist design). And of course, its exceptional location. For a reasonable price, you are a 5-minute walk from the center of Florence. Less: The outlets in the rooms: remember to bring an adapter because they do not meet European standards (except for the one in the bathroom). The absence of blackout curtains: you are quickly awakened by the light as early as 7 AM. The single glazing. My room overlooked an inner courtyard and was quiet, but I imagine those facing the street are much noisier.
