Our stay at Hotel Mulino di Firenze was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The setting alone makes it worth the visit – beautifully positioned along the banks of the River Arno, it offers a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere that feels a world away from the busy city. The hotel itself is full of character, a stunning rustic building that we believe was once an old mill. It has been thoughtfully restored, keeping its charm while offering all the comforts you’d expect. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay – incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their level of English was excellent (certainly much better than my Italian!). The food was another highlight. It was sophisticated, high-quality, and beautifully presented – definitely not the place for pizza and chips, but perfect if you appreciate refined cuisine. We also loved the pool area, which was calm, relaxing, and ideal for unwinding after a day exploring Florence. Overall, we couldn’t fault our experience and would absolutely recommend Hotel Mulino di Firenze to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.

We have just come back for our 10 year wedding anniversary after staying here for our honeymoon. Cannot recommend enough, absolutely first class. Staff are amazing, facilities are great, views are stunning and the location is perfect. We won't be leaving it another 10 years before returning, thats for sure!!

This beautiful hotel with atmosphere is located directly on the Arno River about 6 kilometres outside the centre of Florence. Due to construction work along the waterfront, it is difficult to get to the city center on foot. The route, which takes about 1 hour each way, is also too far if you want to explore the city extensively. Due to the complicated road layout, a taxi takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on traffic and costs 30 to 35 euros each way. A so-called shuttle service also doesn't help much and you are dropped off far in front of the center. All in all unsuitable for visitors who want to explore the city first. As a location for trips to Tuscany and visits to Siena, Pisa, Luca etc. it is better. The staff is friendly and endeavourful, the rooms are all very different, tidy and clean but sometimes fraught with minor technical problems. The rapids in the river can be heard very loudly in some rooms. The breakfast buffet is good, the food in the restaurant as well.
