Residence Palazzo Belfiore

I was given room 2 on the ground floor. A rather gloomy and depressing experience for several reasons: no human contact, neither receptionist nor other guests in a shared environment. The room needs some decoration... in spite of 3 large windows there is very little natural light, it is dull and the ceiling has never seen a coat of paint. The furniture is rather heavy and impractical. However the location is interesting with narrow streets, restaurants and bars, close to the Pitti Palace and the Ponte Vecchio. The bed is divine and there was good communication with the owners. The bathroom is huge and plumbing and hot water work well, as does the wi-fi. The rain shower screen is broken.

We went with another family for thanksgiving. Since the hotel had only two rooms left, we gave the other family the better room and booked room 001 for us. It was about the most uncomfortable room I have ever stayed in. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs "room," which is really a platform they made. I am 5'9 and my wife is 5'7 and we could not stand up straight without hitting our heads. So getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom meant hitting my head on the ceiling, and waking up everyone since the platform is extremely loud to walk on. Additionally, room 001 is on the ground level, so that means it gets pretty loud in the early morning when people and motorcycles go by. Or when people go to the laundry room, which is right next to this room. The room was over $300 per night, which is similar to what my friends paid for a much better room. (less than 10% difference). This room should either be priced at 50% of the others, or they should remove the platform and make it a 2-person room.

I was a weekend with friends, having booked 3 houses we were very large. there were several services, such as air conditioning, wi-fi and coffee machine. fantastic location! but it was a shame that there were some problems: the hot air worked little, several lights struck down and there was nothing to clean in the house, small precautions that make the difference. overall recommended
