A tourist trap, noisy and cold. Therefore expensive. Be wary of summer reviews and reviews from tourists who only stayed one night. The heating works but there are heat losses and at night the temperature drops a lot, we found ourselves sick after the first night. Clean and well furnished room and very friendly staff Too bad the room lock was faulty! Therefore. The description stated that the room was soundproof. IN NO WAY. You could hear both what was happening in nearby rooms and OUTSIDE. The street of the residence is full of clubs, the noise that lasted until the morning did not allow for a good rest on either day. Therefore. The freezing bathroom without a false ceiling remained cold despite the radiator being turned on Therefore there are signs of severe humidity on the windows, holes in the wall above the bed and holes in the sheets. To be strongly avoided. €270 badly spent.

Everything about this place was ideal. Spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent shower (and that can never be taken for granted), fast and free internet, helpful hosts, kept my luggage (easy to retrieve), decent breakfast, gorgeous old building, ground floor so probably cool in summer, excellent location in the Oltrarno, close to Santa Maria del Carmine and Santo Spirito. My room had a lovely high frescoed ceiling, view on a green garden courtyard. I'd gladly stay here again.

Needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights in Florence before travelling on to Rome. Read the reviews and pleased we booked based on positivity. Friendly welcome and service...clean...adequate Italian breakfast....easy access to plenty of restaurants/bars and all the City sites.
