I was with a group of students for spring break. There were many high school students, so If I were traveling alone, I would never go there. My room was big, but there was an outdated kitchen and the whole room was kind of cheerless. The bathroom was clean, the linens were crisp and there were plenty of towels. I have to commend the front desk staff, because one of our students was ill with a stomach virus. We had requested that the room be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. That was not done, but when we insisted, they found a room with a separate sleeping alcove, two bathrooms and a bigger shared bedroom. That comfortably accommodated the recovering student and her two roommates. Breakfast was pretty good.. You have to ask for real coffee from the bar or be stuck with instant from the machine.

Nice apartment but a good 25 minute walk from the town centre.
No air conditioning it is turned of at the begging of October even though it’s still very warm.
Ordered a king got two singles pushed together.
No tea or coffee supplied and no kettle, just a smart comment when we asked for an electric jug “. Use the saucepan”. Then saw another member of staff taking a jug to a room.
Nothing to wash up dishes with and staff don’t clean them
Draws broken, no globe in the light.
Cheap bed linen and towels.
Breakfast was nice with helpful staff but more interested in the bus tours than their other clients,
So many smoking in the doorways not pleasant.

I am roasting in Florence in 80+ degrees. The hotel said they had AC but it was broken. Of course no other rooms are available. I suspect that the hotel knew the room’s AC was not working as they had fans in the room. Very unsatisfactory experience.
