Podere Cavone

We stayed for a long family weekend, the place is lovely quiet reserved, breathtaking views at all hours of the day and night. The farmhouse is very large 4 bedrooms each with a bathroom all furnished with taste and dedication. The kitchen is large with a dining room closed by windows overlooking the valley, there is a swimming pool and lots of greenery for children and dogs to play. You're sorry to leave, a place that remains in your heart.

The place is very nice but the owner Pino is a jerk. When we arrived he was stinking drunk. The lack of hospitality is atrocious. The breakfast was good, the view is amazing, the location is very nice. We got massacred by mosquitoes every night, if you choose to come here bring not only bug spray but also spider spray, check out the beast that was in our room when we arrived! We wrote to the owner we would bring our little dog, as we left he said that he should have charged us more because we didn't advise him, but we have an email that clearly says we were coming with our pet. It also says pet friendly on the listing so I don't know what the owners problem is. The pool also looks good in the listing but is actually just a few feet wide and very small. We were told to leave the room by 11, I gave the owner the keys at 11:10, he got in a verbal fight with me! When I told him that was not the proper way to treat guests and I would leave him a poor review he responded by saying, "I don't give a f#@k!" It's a shame because the place is very nice, but if you treat your guests like this you should not be in the hospitality business. We are a nice family with two small sweet kids. It's unfortunate our trip had this ugly issue when all we wanted was a relaxing weekend get away.

Lovely personal rooms. Soft beds. Stunning views. Good breakfast. Also Anna and her staff are very welcoming and helpful. Also there is a very good restaurant just down the hill. I does not look like much but the food is wonderful. I higly recommend Podere Cavone.
