Giglio

We wanted to take a weekend trip to disconnect a bit and our choice fell on the city of Lucca, but alas, all the properties were occupied because of the music festival that was taking place in the city itself. So our choice fell on Montecatini Terme at the Hotel Giglio; from the very first phone contact with the reception, we understood that the choice was the right one. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a cordiality as if we had been guests for a long time; after handling the check-in formalities, they suggested we dine at the restaurant—what can I say, everything was truly good and well-prepared, and the dining room staff was truly kind and professional. The hotel is a bit dated but has its own slightly retro charm that gives a touch of times past, yet it has all the comforts that our times require. Then in the evening, a walk in the center in the company of new friends made us feel at home. We will definitely return, perhaps in September 😉 Thanks for everything to everyone ☺️

School trip Decent, kind staff

We had a bus tour of Tuscany. And Hotel Giglio was the third in this region. It was the worst hotel ever. Everything inside is shrouded and murdered. We lived on the third floor in two local rooms. All the walls are dark yellow and stained with black stripes, footprints from the soles of the shoes. It was like they were always fighting here. The furniture is very old. Instead of a wardrobe, the shelves are covered with old fabric curtains. Windows are dusty and dirty. Breakfast is very scarce. We were also forced to check out at 9.30am. And we left at 11.30. We didn't talk all day, the administration wouldn't come to our meeting. This hotel very much spoils the overall impression of Italy. And after I left my review on the hotel website, that review was deleted.
