Grand Hotel Nizza Et Suisse

Decrepit hotel, rooms with old and dirty furniture, wardrobe without doors (with curtains), bathtub elevated without a screen or curtains, some group members without air conditioning in their rooms, only two elevators for seven people for the entire hotel but with a paper sign that said only three people could go up, most days they were out of order and some guests got trapped, for example, my wife. The breakfast and dinners were terrible, pasta, chicken, turkey, lettuce, and carrot on the days when there was anything left... they grouped older people with groups of teenagers (about 90 people) on a school trip, and they overwhelmed the dining room; several people decided to pay for their dinner at nearby restaurants. Not recommended at all.

The Grand Hotel Nizza et Suisse is located on Viale Verdi (the Walk of Fame of Montecatini), a wide central avenue that is peaceful. The structure is imposing and elegant, exuding history. All the staff: reception, floor attendants, and dining staff are extremely kind and helpful. The same goes for the owners who actively participate in the management of the hotel. The rooms are spacious, functional, and well-furnished. The facility features a large outdoor pool accessible to all guests. The breakfast offers a buffet with a wide selection of sweets and savory items (croissants, pound cake, tarts, cookies, macarons, various cold cuts, eggs, cheese, yogurt, jams, seasonal fruit juices, cereals...). I had planned to stay in Montecatini at the hotel for 3 nights, but when I went to start the car, it wouldn't start at all. The owner made an effort to help me restart the car, but we were unsuccessful. The reception first took action to find a mechanic available to handle the car repair as soon as possible, and then to find a room suitable for our needs (3 people) for the next 2 nights at the hotel. I must specify that all the rooms were occupied. They were very kind. We therefore extended our stay for another two nights. Another two days of pleasant relaxation in enjoyable company. Awful. Do not stay here if you can possibly avoid it. If you have to stay, eat out! The place is badly in need of cleaning and maintenance.
