Hotel Certaldo

Phenomenal hotel! The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Rooms are clean, elegant and fully stocked. Relaxed atmosphere, no noise disturbances - great night sleep! Gorgeous outdoor pool with a nearby bar. Walking distance from the train station. The best breakfast spread we have ever seen.

Do not be fooled by the rating; this property is absolutely unworthy of its 5 stars. As frequent travelers of 4 and 5-star hotels, we wouldn't even rank this place as a 4-star. The location is completely anonymous and unpleasant, situated right next to a busy, noisy roundabout and a foul-smelling river overrun with rats and nutria. To make matters worse, the service is amateurish and completely disorganized, while the booking policies and commercial approach feel incredibly low-level and cheap. While we haven't used the restaurant as it looked unappealing. A huge disappointment, save your money and look elsewhere.

Historic building, it is an old mill renovated with rooms finely restored. The welcome much sought after, furnished with great taste. Equipped with small swimming pool and gym. Excellent bathroom equipment. Good dining experience at the in-house restaurant. I highly recommend a visit to the nearby village of Certaldo Alto, reached by a charming gondola
