Mercure Siena Degli Ulivi

Great hotel on the outskirts of Siena. Very comfortable rooms and lovely bathroom. Couldn't fault it for comfort. Also loved the outdoor pool - great to abel to cool down after a days sight seeing in this fantastic city. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Do note that this is not in the old town but is a short taxi drive and getting taxis is extremely easy and affordable here. The reception staff are excellent and order the taxis which are then at the door within minutes. All in all a great hotel. Only slight note of criticism is the lack of bar staff late evening. It is nice to have a night cap and it was a little annoying trying to loacte a member of staff to serve us. Very minor quibble though this is a great hotel and highly recommended

This was a great home base to visit Siena, some local vineyards, and to soak up the Tuscan sun. Surprisingly nice for a Four Points - definitely a notch above what I’ve seen in the U.S. the hotel has a lovely pool with an outdoor bar and pizzeria that lends a resort feel to it. We were pleasantly surprised! I also recommend a nearby restaurant if you are staying at the Four Points: Antica Trattoria Botteganova

The hotel was clean, quite well located near by to a a bus stop and the breakfast was quite nice. The room and bathroom were a bit small but quite functional. The AC was not functioning very well though. The staff in the reception were very helpful. In particular, Mr. Guilherme was outstanding and went out of his way, to assist us. So a good experience overall.
